COLLEGE NIGHT

These Guidelines are used to help the show run smoothly, and to keep the audience entertained.
College Night is booked in advance.
  • 1. The show is on Thursday nights at 8:00 P.M. Admission is $5.00 with performers getting in for free.

  • 2. All comics MUST be signed in by 7:15 P.M. at the ticket window. Punctuality is a MUST! If you will not be on time you need to call, or you might not be invited to come back. Number to call: 309-664-JOKE

  • 3. A brief meeting will be held at 7:30 P.M. to give performing order, and to show you the “on deck” area. Urgency on getting up to the stage once your name is called is another MUST. Once performing order is set, no additions or switching places in order will be allowed.

  • 4. NO VULGAR OR OFFENSIVE MATERIAL WILL BE ALLOWED. You need to be funny not explicit. Extreme vulgar ness will result in your mic being turned off, and asked not to come back.

  • 5. Be aware of your audience’s reaction. If they aren’t responding to you, find a graceful way to end your set, even if your time isn’t up. You don’t want to loose the audience and make it difficult for the comics following you.

SET TIME is 6 minutes for each performer.

**YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE ALL OF YOUR SET TIME**

One minute before your set is to end, you will get a blinking light from the back of the room. Please acknowledge the light with a “head nod” or a “point of the finger” (not the middle one!). At that time please bring your set to an end, do not run over your time, be respectful to the other comics you are sharing the stage with.

#1 Guideline: BE FUNNY & HAVE FUN!!!

30 minute comedy workshop is provided after the show.
